APS Summaries and Brokerage Assessments
After EMSI acquires an applicant’s complete Attending Physician Statement (APS), we provide a list of significant conditions, followed by excerpts of pertinent office notes, lab values, procedure reports or test results. We consolidate the APS to highlight criteria relevant to the underwriting decision. You receive a legible, chronological summary form attached to the APS.
Our Brokerage Assessments include a detailed review of submitted APS and underwriting requirements, utilizing our experienced underwriters (specialized in brokerage and impaired risk underwriting). The assessment provides a detailed description of primary impairment and lifestyle factors of a case, insight on outstanding issues that need to be reconciled prior to submission to a carrier, a range of possible ratings and the ability to assist in obtaining initial and updates APSs.
