Dave Merrill
President
ICS Merrill, EMSI Investigative Services Division

Mr. Merrill has over 18 years of investigative experience and is one of the most recognizable leaders in the Special Investigative Unit (SIU) community. Prior to his current role, Mr. Merrill was president and founder of The Merrill Group, Inc., a leading claims investigation solutions provider. Mr. Merrill directs the management of all ICS Merrill business, reporting directly to the EMSI CEO and Chairman, Mark Davis. Mr. Merrill serves on the boards of various nonprofit organizations and is currently on the board of directors of the American Society of Worker's Compensation Professionals, Inc. (AMCOMP) and the Private Investigation, Recovery Security Advisory Council (PIRSAC). Mr. Merrill is a graduate of Eckerd College and the executive education program at Harvard Business School.

Doug Merriman 
Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Merriman has over 25 years experience in the insurance industry and has held management positions in claims, underwriting, policy administration, risk management and agency services, as well as various general management positions. He has a track record of leading service organizations to achieve ongoing, client-centered performance improvement. In his current role as COO, Mr. Merriman drives operations solutions to meet client needs. He holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation and is a graduate of The Ohio State University.

Stacy Steiner-Hanson
Senior Vice President, Sales
ICS Merrill, EMSI Investigative Services Division

Ms. Steiner-Hanson has 18 years of experience that includes field investigations, SIU investigations and supervising field investigators. She has continued her education by obtaining her Worker’s Compensation Claims Law Specialist and Fraud Claim Law Specialist designations. She also holds her All Lines Adjusters license and is a designated SIU within the State of Florida. She has authored several articles and is a requested speaker at trade conferences.

Michael Ferrin 
Vice President, Vendor Management
ICS Merrill, EMSI Investigative Services Division

For more than 25 years, Mr. Ferrin has been involved in insurance claims investigations. He has expertise in vendor management and SIU-related investigations, specifically organized fraud rings and medical provider fraud. He is well-versed in management oversight, state regulatory compliance and training. Previously, Mr. Ferrin worked for a multi-line insurance carrier, as well as a private investigative company. He has served on the CA. Insurance Fraud Advisory Board, the Coalition Against Insurance Fraud and the Southern California IASIU chapter. Mr. Ferrin holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, as well as CIFI, FCLA and Six Sigma Green Belt designations.

Bob Maryanski
Vice President of Sales, Life and Health
ICS Merrill, EMSI Investigative Services Division

Mr. Maryanski has been associated with the investigative profession for over 40 years, initially as a field investigator and for last several year's in the capacity of sales and customer relations for some of the nation’s largest insurance carriers.  He specializes in life and health insurance. He is active in ICA meetings and is a longtime officer of The New England Claim Association.

John Ferrante 
Director of Operations, Surveillance
ICS Merrill, EMSI Investigative Services Division

Mr. Ferrante has a total of 12 years of investigative experience and management experience combined. Mr. Ferrante was at first a field Investigator starting in 1997 and was promoted to a Case Manager in 2000 overseeing both surveillance and non-surveillance cases. Mr. Ferrante later became vice president, overseeing the entire claim’s department and, finally, director of operations. Mr. Ferrante currently oversees all field operations for ICS Merrill surveillance investigations.  He graduated from the Hillsborough Community College with an AA degree in Criminal Justice and then University of South Florida with a BA degree in Criminology.

John Bosco
Director of Operations, Non-surveillance
ICS Merrill, EMSI Investigative Services Division

Mr. Bosco currently oversees all field operations for non-surveillance investigations for ICS Merrill. He has more than 15 years of investigative experience. He began his career as a surveillance investigator at the New York Regional Office of International Claims Specialists and was promoted to surveillance supervisor for all surveillance operations. Mr. Bosco rose through the ranks to become manager, regional manager and director of operations. He studied business management at St. John’s University in Queens, NY.

Doug Mailhot
Director of Special Investigations Unit
ICS Merrill, EMSI Investigative Services Division

Mr. Mailhot brings 22 years of experience working for national carriers in many investigative roles in all insurance lines. He specializes in the development, implementation and management of SIU programs. He has provided litigation management expertise to support cost containment, civil recovery and criminal prosecution. Mr. Mailhot holds a B.A. in criminal justice from Norwich University. He earned an associate’s degree in Claims A.I.C from the Insurance Institute of America. He has been an associate member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and a member of the International Association of Special Investigations Units (IASIU) as well as a long-standing member of the New England Association of Insurance Fraud Investigators (NEAIFI), serving on its board of directors and as president.

Daniel Reading 
Director of Strategic Accounts
ICS Merrill, EMSI Investigative Services Division

Mr. Reading has an extensive background in customer service as well as more than 10 years of investigative experience working as both a case manager and account manager. He began his career in the insurance industry in 1999 and proved a quick study as he learned the ropes from the ground up while attending seminars, taking part in industry recognized training and dedicating himself to the art of investigations. Mr. Reading joined ICS Merrill as a vendor manager and, in 2009, was promoted to his current position, where he has direct oversight of all strategic account managers.  

Amir H. Rasekh 
Program Director, Mortgage Fraud Investigations
ICS Merrill, EMSI Investigative Services Division

Mr. Rasekh has more than 10 years of management experience, including overseeing investigation operations for two privately held firms. He is specialized in mortgage fraud investigations, offering extensive knowledge of various resources in connection with locating and obtaining evidence on borrowers and other relevant parties. In addition, using his strong familiarity with the mortgage origination process, he has conducted a variety of interviews and document verifications related to Mortgage Insurance (MI) fraud. Mr. Rasekh earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Irvine and he is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
