Scene Investigations

Whether they’re assigned to a busy intersection or a machine shop, ICS Merrill investigators are trained to conduct thorough scene investigations, including detailed documentation, diagrams and photographs for property and accident-liability cases.

For automobile investigations, we review traffic-signal controls and direction of travel of the involved parties. We take primary (points of impact, plus measurements) and secondary photos of a vehicle, so a complete examination is possible. We also provide a photo log for easy reference and analysis.

In a workers compensation case, our investigators carefully review the site of an accident or injury. They inspect and photograph equipment, document its condition and regular operation, and check maintenance records to determine if they meet OSHA requirements.
