Centralized Death Claim Database (CDCD)

Centralized Death Claim Database (CDCD) is a database created by ICS Merrill to assist life insurance companies who do not routinely share information on existing policies in force to share knowledge.

Through the voluntary submission of death claim names by participating life insurance companies, insurers are made aware of other policies in force. With the appropriate confidentiality agreements in place, the death claim names are maintained exclusively by ICS Merrill. If and when a match is made, only the companies directly involved with the common claim are immediately alerted.

Sharing expenses on a common investigation not only reduces costs, but the savings can be used to investigate suspicious claims that might otherwise go undetected.
