We also eliminate the separate step of data entry for our clients.

Instead, we have the medical facility fax patient medical records to a central location at EMSI where the documents are automatically scanned into a viewable online format. A group of specially trained nurses and certified coding specialists then review the records and abstract the pertinent information. The end result is our clients save time and money, and receive more consistent, better quality data.

SAM Can Help with Special Authorizations

We also have a facility file containing criteria requirements, addresses and phone numbers for more than 600,000 medical facilities, which speeds up facility contact and retrieval of medical records. In addition, for records requiring special authorization, clients can access our Special Authorization Manager (SAM), a CD containing more than 14,000 scanned special authorization forms required by facilities for release of records.
